Wardrobes and walk in closets

Wardrobe 3D configurator: built to the alcove, priced on the spot

Fitted wardrobes are sold through a survey, a sketch and several quote revisions. Until the last day the buyer does not know how many shelves and rails fit inside, or how mirror doors look with a grey frame. A wardrobe 3D configurator lets them lay out the inside and the doors on your website and send an enquiry with every measurement.

Short answer

What is a wardrobe 3D configurator?

A wardrobe 3D configurator is a tool on a wardrobe maker's website where the buyer enters the width, height and depth of the space, chooses door type, door panels, frame colour and interior layout, and the 3D model and price update straight away. Trimata builds it from your own profiles, boards and price list.

What buyers ask before ordering a wardrobe

  • My alcove is 2.6 m high and the ceiling is uneven. Can it go all the way up?
  • How many doors does a 2.4 m wardrobe need, and how much do they overlap?
  • Is 60 cm deep enough for hangers to fit across?
  • Where should the drawers go so the sliding doors do not block them?
  • Is a full height mirror on every door too much?
  • How much is an open walk in closet without doors?

What the buyer can choose in the configurator

The configurator follows your production rules: minimum and maximum door width, profiles and section steps.

ChoiceOptionsWhy show it in 3D
TypeFitted alcove wardrobe, freestanding, corner, open walk in closetThe buyer sees straight away whether side panels and a ceiling filler are needed.
DimensionsWidth, height to ceiling, depth, sloped ceiling in an atticFrom the measurements the configurator sets the number of doors and section widths itself.
DoorsSliding, hinged, no doors; two, three or four door systemsDoors can be slid on the model to show which part of the wardrobe stays covered.
Door panelsBoard, mirror, frosted or coloured glass, mixed panels with horizontal railsMixed panels are the hardest to imagine because they change a whole wall of the room.
Profiles and coloursAluminium profile finish, carcass colour, interior colourThe buyer checks the profile and board pairing against their floor and doors.
InteriorShelves, hanging rails at one or two heights, drawers, trouser rack, shoe shelvesThe buyer plans the inside around their own clothes, so fewer changes after the survey.
LightingLED strips in the profile, lights in the ceiling filler, door sensorsLighting can be switched on in the model to show how it lights the shelves.

Extras that raise the order value

Wardrobe prices usually rise because of the inside: soft close drawers, pull out trouser and belt racks, pull down hanging rails for tall wardrobes, shoe shelves and interior lighting. The quote shows only a total, and buyers often say shelves will do.

When the same drawers can be added to the model and opened, the buyer sees that a drawer under the rail frees up a whole shelf. When the pull down rail drops on screen, they understand why the top of the wardrobe stops being dead space.

A full mirror or coloured glass also costs more than board. In 3D the panel can be swapped with one tap, and the buyer sees how the whole room changes.

Yes. We set minimum and maximum door width, overlap and profile rules. If the buyer enters a space that needs a different number of doors, the configurator changes it on its own.
